Whether you are an amateur or professional photographer with lots of good pictures, you can really make some pretty decent money with your photos in Shutterstock.
The way Shutterstock works is that they will pay you 25 cents each time one of your photos is downloaded. So if your Shutterstock photos for example gets 1000 downloads per month, that would equal $250 to you. Many of the photographers gets a lot more than that, but of course you will have to have good pictures to really make noticeable money with them. After you have reached $500, your commission goes up to 30 cents per download, which of course means you’ll get more money off your photos.
One of the good things about Shutterstock is that the buyers subscribe on a monthly basis and then they are able to download all the way up to 750 images over the period of 30 days. What this can mean is that your chances of having your photos downloaded are much better than if the buyers could just pick one photo there and another one here. Shutterstock subscribers have purchased a right for 750 downloads and of course they are going to use it, whether they really need all the images or not.
